Consistency on Social Media

If you are or have been a parent at some point, I believe you will resonate with this episode.

Do you remember when you were sleep training your babies? All 3 of my children were VERY good sleepers from around 4 months old.

We had their simple routine each night – new diaper, read a book, drink a bottle, go to sleep. To be honest, this routine would all happen around 11pm at night. Right around 3 months we began moving that routine forward 15 minutes each night. Same routine, just a different time until eventually they were going to bed at 7pm and waking up around 6pm.

So what does this have to do with social media? Consistency. Our kids grew to know the routine and know what to expect from us. Same for your social media. Consistency in showing up and delivering the same (valuable) content will ‘train’ your audience and followers to expect that from you. It really is that simple. There’s not a secret formula or ‘hack’ that is going to make you be a success. So now it’s in your hands – to show up and be consistent with great content and great value each time you post on social media.
